Stormbringer Cookie hits hard when built correctly. But if you slap the wrong toppings on her, her damage output stays well below what it should be. The good news is that her build is not complicated once you understand what she actually needs.

This guide covers the two main topping builds, how to choose between them based on your current stats, which substats to prioritize, and what Beascuit stats pair with each build.

What Stormbringer Cookie Actually Does in Battle

Before picking toppings, it helps to know what Stormbringer Cookie is actually doing in your team. She is a Legendary Cookie who stands in the front line, but do not mistake her for a tank. She is a damage dealer first.

Her kit is built around electric and lightning damage. Specifically, she works through Zap and Overcurrent mechanics, which means her damage output is tied heavily to Critical hit procs. When those Crit moments happen, her skill hits significantly harder.

Because of this, topping choices are built around making those Crit procs happen more often and hit harder, not around padding her defense. She can take some hits at the front, but her value comes from her damage, not her durability.

    The Two Recommended Topping Builds

There are two solid options for Stormbringer Cookie. Both are supported across multiple community guides and neither is automatically better than the other.

Build 1: 5x Juicy Apple Jelly

This is the safer, more general recommendation for most players. Juicy Apple Jelly boosts Crit Rate, which directly supports Stormbringer’s damage pattern. More Crit Rate means her electric damage procs more consistently.

Think of it this way: Juicy Apple Jelly increases how often her damage bursts trigger. If you are not sure what to run, this is the build to start with.

    Build 2: 5x Searing Raspberry

Searing Raspberry boosts raw Attack instead of Crit Rate. This is the stronger choice when your Crit Rate is already high from substat rolls or Beascuits. If Crit is covered, adding more Crit Rate gives you diminishing returns, so shifting to Attack makes more sense.

To extend the analogy: Searing Raspberry increases how hard her bursts hit when they land. It is a great build, but it only shines when Crit is already handled elsewhere.

Neither build is universally correct. Your account’s current stats are what determine the right call.

How to Decide Which Build Fits Your Account

The fastest way to choose is to check your current Crit Rate before you do anything else. Here is a simple framework to follow:

    • If your Crit Rate is already high from substat rolls or Beascuits, go with 5x Searing Raspberry. You do not need more Crit, so adding Attack gives you more overall damage.
    • If your Crit Rate is low or inconsistent, run 5x Juicy Apple Jelly. This covers the gap and makes her damage more reliable.
    • If you are a beginner or your toppings are not well-optimized yet, default to Juicy Apple Jelly. Crit Rate is harder to replace from other sources, and this build works without needing strong Beascuit support.
    • If you have strong Beascuit rolls that already cover Crit, you have the flexibility to shift your topping set toward pure Attack with Searing Raspberry.

The decision comes down to one question: is your Crit Rate already where it needs to be? If yes, go Attack. If no, go Crit Rate first.

Mixed Topping Set as a Situational Option

Some guides mention a split build: 2x Juicy Apple Jelly and 3x Searing Raspberry. This is a real option, but it needs some context before you consider it.

This setup makes the most sense when your individual topping pieces are imperfect. If you cannot find a full set of either type with decent substat rolls, mixing the two can give you a stronger overall combination based on the actual pieces you have.

That said, this is a practical workaround, not a default recommendation. A clean full set of either Juicy Apple Jelly or Searing Raspberry with good substats will generally beat a mixed set.

Do not run this split just because it sounds balanced. Only use it if the quality of your individual topping pieces actually makes it the best available option for you right now.

Substats to Look for on Each Topping

Getting the right topping type is step one. Step two is knowing which substat rolls to keep. This is where a lot of players leave damage on the table.

    Priority Substats for Both Builds

    • Crit Rate — Always valuable. Even on a Searing Raspberry set, extra Crit Rate from substats helps Stormbringer proc her damage more often.
    • ATK% — Adds directly to her raw damage output. This is a strong roll on any piece.
    • Damage Resist — Since she sits at the front, a bit of damage resistance helps her survive long enough to keep dealing damage.
    • Cooldown — Reducing cooldown means her skill comes up more often, which translates directly to more lightning damage over a fight.

What to Look for on a Juicy Apple Jelly Set

Since the base effect already covers Crit Rate, your best secondary substat rolls here are ATK% and Cooldown. These add meaningful value without overlapping with what the topping already provides.

Damage Resist rolls are also useful here since you are filling Crit from the base effect and have room to add some durability through substats.

What to Look for on a Searing Raspberry Set

Here, you want Crit Rate as a priority substat because your topping base effect is not covering it. Look for pieces that roll Crit Rate alongside ATK% or Cooldown.

A Searing Raspberry piece with no Crit Rate substat is weaker than it looks. The goal is to use the base Attack boost and fill Crit through rolls or Beascuits.

Beascuit Stats That Pair with Each Build

Your Beascuit is another layer that affects which topping build works best. Here is what to aim for depending on your setup.

For a Juicy Apple Jelly Build

Since Crit Rate is covered by your toppings, a Beascuit that rolls ATK, Cooldown, and Damage Resist adds the most value. You do not need the Beascuit to handle Crit here, so you can use those rolls for other damage stats.

    For a Searing Raspberry Build

Here you want the Beascuit to carry some Crit Rate. Look for rolls that include Crit alongside ATK or Cooldown. If your Beascuit covers Crit well, the Searing Raspberry set can fully focus on raw Attack and your damage will be strong across both sources.

A Damage Resist stat on the Beascuit is also useful for either build since Stormbringer takes hits at the front regardless of how you build her offensively.

One Thing to Keep in Mind

Stormbringer Cookie’s recommended builds can shift when new Beascuits drop or when balance patches change how her skills interact with Crystal Jam and electric damage mechanics. The builds covered here reflect current community consensus, but it is worth checking for updates if a major patch has just landed.

For players who want to stay on top of gaming guides and build decisions across different genres, SmallBusinessNiche covers a range of useful topics worth bookmarking.

    Quick Recap

Here is the short version if you want to act on this right now:

    1. Check your current Crit Rate from substats and Beascuits.
    2. If Crit Rate is low, run 5x Juicy Apple Jelly.
    3. If Crit Rate is already strong, run 5x Searing Raspberry.
    4. If your topping pieces are imperfect, consider a 2 Juicy Apple Jelly / 3 Searing Raspberry mix based on piece quality alone.
    5. Target Crit Rate, ATK%, Damage Resist, and Cooldown on substats across both builds.
    6. Match your Beascuit to fill whatever gap your toppings leave, especially Crit Rate if running Searing Raspberry.

Stormbringer Cookie is a strong damage dealer when her Crit procs are consistent. Get that foundation right, and her lightning damage will do the rest.
